Concerts

Hugh prepares one or two concerts a year which can be given in aid of good causes in the local (NR21) area. They involve a mixture of flute and voice (baritone) and are dependant upon the availability of his long suffering accompanist Gill Smith.

Titles include (detailed repertoire lists further down):-

Of Mistresses and Nostalgia
Late 19C and Early 20C - the flowering of French Romanticism and the English Song Revival (which includes three settings of Shakespeare's 'O Mistress Mine')

Dreadful Engines
An eclectic mix finishing with the extraordinary 'Let the Dreadful Engines' of Henry Purcell
